Inglorious Basterds ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ Oct ೨ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನ ನೋಡೋಕೆ ಕಾತರದಿಂದ ಕಾಯ್ತಿದ್ದೀನಿ.

'ಅತಿಥಿ' ಪಿ. ಶೇಷಾದ್ರಿ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿರುವ ಚಿತ್ರ. ತಾರಾಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ, ದತ್ತಾತ್ರೇಯ ಹಾಗು ಮತ್ತಿತರೆ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಮುನ್ನುಡಿಯ ನಂತರ ಶೇಷಾದ್ರಿಯವರ ಎರಡನೆ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ೨೦೦೧ರ 'ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಲನ ಚಿತ್ರ' ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ೪೯ನೆಯ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಲನ ಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆಯಿತು.

ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಥೆ ಹೀಗಿದೆ: ಓರ್ವ ಭಯೋದ್ಪಾದಕನು (ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ) ಒಂದು ವಿಸ್ಫೋಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆತಂಕವಾದಿ ಕೃತ್ಯೆಗೆ ತೆರೆಳುವಾಗ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಡಿಮದ್ದು ತಯಾರಿಸುವಾಗ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ . ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರು ಅಲ್ಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಿರುವ ವೈದ್ಯನ (ದತ್ತಾತ್ರೇಯ) ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯತ್ತಾರೆ. ವೈದ್ಯನು ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಈ ಅತಿಥಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಚಲನಶಕ್ತಿವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಬಯೋದ್ಪಾದಕನು ವೈದ್ಯನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಚನ್ನು ಹೂಡಲು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಆಸನದ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲೆ ಇರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಲ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗಳು ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ ಹಾಗು ಹೋರಾಟದ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಯಾವುದೆ ಅನಾವಶ್ಯಕ ಬೆಡಗು ಬಿನ್ನಾಣವಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಸಂಗೀತ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಕೆಲ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಹಾಡುಗಳಿವೆ. ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲೆಲ್ಲೊ ಚಿತ್ರಿಕರಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ನೆರೆಕರೆಯ ಸೊಬಗು ಚಿತ್ರಮಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗು ಪ್ರಶಾಂತವಾಗಿವೆ. ಅಂತ್ಯ ಊಹಿಸಬಹುದದ್ದಾದರೂ ಕೊನೆಯತನಕ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗದು.

Atithi is an award winning Kannada movie by director P. Sheshadri starring Prakash Rai and Dattatreya. This is the second movie directed by P. Sheshadri after Munnudi. The movie won the "Best Feature Film in Kannada" award at the 49th National Films Awards in 2001.

The movie is about a terrorist (I presume it is a naxalite), played by Prakash Rai, who after carrying out a bomb blast is on the way to his next mission. En route he gets injured due to an accident while preparing the explosives. He is taken to the house of a doctor, played by Dattatreya. The doctor is forced to give refuge to this unwelcome guest. Though immobilized, the terrorist continues to hatch the plans for his next mission in the doctor's house.

The movie is slow paced but still keeps the viewers on the edge of their seat. Some of the dialogs are interesting and tries to offer an explanation to the need for struggle. There is no unnecessary glitz and glamour involved. The background score is wonderful. There are a few wonderful songs which are apt for the situations. Picturised somewhere in the Malnad region, the locales are scenic and serene. The ending is somewhat predictable but still has you guessing until the end.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಫೋನ್ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಈಗಂತು ಏನಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದ್ರೂ ರೇಡಿಯೊ ಅಂತು ಇಡೊದು ಮರೆಯೊಲ್ಲ. ಅಂತದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ Appleನವರು ಇಂತಹದೊಂದು feature ಇಡದೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ತಪ್ಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ರು. ಆದರೆ ಕೊನೆಗು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸೊಕೆ Griffin Technologyರವರು ಈ ಐಫೋನ್ accessory ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರ ಬೆಲೆ ಸುಮಾರು $60.00 (ರೂ. ೩೦೦೦). ಒಂದು ರೇಡಿಯೊಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟೆೊಂದು ಬೆಲೆ ಅನಿಸ್ದ್ರು, ಒಂದೆ ಯಂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಸಿಗೊದ್ರಿಂದ ಈ ಬೆಲೆ ಸಮಂಜಸ ಅನ್ಸುತ್ತೆ. 

ಇದು ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಗ್ಳೂರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲು ಸಿಗ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
